Ajay Jayaram

Ajay Jayaram is one of the best upcoming badminton players in India. He trains at the Tata Padukone badminton academy in Bangalore. He is currently ranked 34 in the world.

Notable Achievements:

2008:
Ajay Jayaram won his maiden international title when he won the Waikato International tournament at Hamilton in New Zealand, defeating Prakash Jolly of India 21-11, 21-14 in the finals.

2010:
Ajay Jayaram won the Smiling Fish international badminton championship at Thailand. He beat Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin of Indonesia in the finals.

Ajay was the winner of the Yonex Czech Open International badminton tournament. Ajay beat Scott Evans of Ireland 21-11, 21-8 in the finals

Ajay Jayaram won the Silver medal at the Yonex Dutch Open Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament held at Almere.

    Ajay stunned the current world no.18 and 15th seeded Kenichi Tago of Japan today in the first round of the World badminton championships-2011.
