Arvind Bhat

Arvind Bhat is one of the best badminton players in India, and also the reigning National Badminton champion. He is currently ranked 46 in the world as per the BWF badminton rankings. Arvind honed his badminton skills at the Prakash Padukone badminton academy in Bangalore.

Notable achievements:

Nov-2004:
Arvind Bhat won the men's singles title at the Scottish Open badminton tournament defeating the 3rd seeded Marc Zwiebler of Germany 15-8, 15-7.

2005:
Arvind won the All-India senior ranking tournament.

2007:
Arvind Bhat won the New Caledonia Open badminton tournament with an upset win over world.no.48 Pablo Abian of Spain
Arvind also then won the Czech Open International tournament.
Arvind Bhat won the Syrian Satellite series badminton tournament at Damascus.
Arvind Bhat won the Jordan Open badminton tournament at Amman.

2008:
Arvind won the Tata Open senior ranking badminton tournament.

Feb-2009
Arvind Bhat won the National badminton title for the first time in Indore in Feb-2009, when he had defeated P Kashyap 21-19, 21-14 in the finals.

Jan-2011
Arvind Bhat defeated P Kashyap in the finals of the Mens singles National Badminton title match to be crowned the National Badminton Champion for the second time in his badminton career.
